During my Network Marketing business building journey, I was introduced to Michael Gerber’s thinking and philosophy. I chose him as a mentor because of his concrete foundational business development ideas.
As an MLM/Network Marketer, you are an entrepreneur. Your business development is a reflection of who you are and your vision of what you want to create. In Gerber’s book The E-Myth Revisited: Why Most Small Businesses Don’t Work and What to Do About It, he introduces the 3 personality types we all have, if we are to be in business:
1 The Entrepreneur;
2 The Manager;
3 The Technician.
I want to jump in here and go into a discussion of this but you would be much better served by purchasing E-Myth Revisited and really learning the material in the contexts of the book’s message and your business. So, please do put this on your MUST READ list for very soon.
As a mentor, I have gotten new insights from Gerber into what it means to take responsibility for the vision of my business, the organization of the business ( the processes that I follow daily to achieve success), and the actual implementation. There is great learning about trying to do it all and the impact of that decision on the quality of the team that you build.
To keep me grounded, as I work my network marketing /MLM business, I find myself asking what hat am I wearing today? What hat should I be wearing to be the most productive?
I found through reading Gerber’s book that, he has the qualities of an entrepreneur that I want to exhibit. As a mentor he is providing me with some very powerful concepts, tools, and understanding that will take my business to new levels in 2013. That is my Entrepreneurial Vision! Please join me with your vision to make the most amazing 2012.
What has been your entrepreneurial vision for 2012? What organization tip has turned out to be a best practice for you in progressing toward your goals?
Much Success!
