You’ve probably heard it a million times – communication is key.

It’s key to relationships and that includes your professional ones. The ability to communicate, and to do it well, is a huge factor in business success.

When you own your own Network Marketing business, your livelihood depends on your ability to sell your services. This means knowing how to influence prospects that you are the best person for the job or, better said, to solve their issue or problem.

You need to ask the right questions to understand your client’s needs. Perhaps this entails having your client fill out a questionnaire.

You must communicate professionally. Your tone, how you look – are you wearing business appropriate attire – and how you make your client feel are crucial to your success. If you come into a meeting yelling at your client because you’re angry about something else, how do you think that will make them feel? Good impressions are important.

Something as simple as your email signature can tell your client a lot about you. Of course you want to remain professional, but do you include an inspiring quote with your signature or put it in a friendly font. Subconsciously, these are things your client will notice.

When you have several topics to tackle, try to not rush through them because that only makes the client feel confused. Speak. Pause. Listen. Close your email or laptop during your conversation so you can make eye contact with your client. Slow down and allow them a chance to ask questions. These small things can make a huge difference in how you are perceived by your client.

And, it is always a good idea after your conversation to follow up in writing. Send your potential client a thank you note. You could provide additional information with the note or simply send them a greeting thanking them for their time. This is also a good time to invite the client to give feedback on your presentation and/or your service, and to set up the next meeting if you still need to do that.

Your clients always want to feel like they’re the priority. Make sure you pay attention to their needs and how to best communicate with that client. Not everyone likes emails. Not everyone likes in-person meetings. Find out what works best for them and adjust your presentation and communication styles to best suit their needs.

Much Success!

Have an outstanding day!!
