There is an ability that top earners in Network Marketing share that propels them to the next level.
Do you know what it is?
Their ability to succeed comes down to this one thing: The ability to focus.
This skill always differentiates you in business. No matter what you try to eliminate in your life, there is always something that will be pulling your attention. Focus on what will matter most in your business. This is how you become a network marketing professional.
Concentration means control of attention. It is the ability to focus the mind on one subject, object, or thought, and at the same time exclude from the mind every other unrelated thought, ideas, feelings, and sensations.
So how do you concentrate? Create an empowering environment!
- Eliminate distractions. Make a practice to block time in your schedule to do a specific task or activity. Close your cell phone apps, turn off computer notifications, tell your family/friends/co-workers you are concentrating for x amount of time. Your primary task is to complete what you need to do.
- Reduce multitasking. In the heart of being present and full engaged, multitasking makes us feel productive but it also lowers focus, concentration and productivity. Lower productivity can lead to burnout.
- Practice mindfulness and meditation. Increasing your mental fitness, well-being and focus allows the brain to be calmer and our whole body becomes relaxed.
- Sleep more. Research has shown that devices emit light towards the blue end of the spectrum. Such light will stimulate your eye retina and prevent secretion of melatonin that promotes sleep in the brain. You can use a filter or blue light glasses. You can also log off of the computer or cell phone earlier, don’t look at your phone once you enter the room you sleep in. Other ways to improve sleep include avoiding exercise late in the day, staying hydrated throughout the day, using journaling or breathing exercises to quiet the mind, and creating a predictable bedtime routine and schedule.
Top performers not only have the ability to focus but they seem to have the time to be present, mindful and rested. Something we can all learn from as we grow our businesses too.
