Everyone is busy but entrepreneurs are especially busy. Running your own business can sap all of your energy and create stress. If you are not careful, you can easily burn out – and that will hurt you, your family and your business. So this year make a few simple changes to give yourself the gift of health.Invest in your health - slate blackboard sign against weathered red painted barn wood with a dumbbell, apple and tape measure

Schedule in your workouts just as you would a business meeting. Not only will this help you set aside time for yourself, but it will also change your attitude towards your personal health. Instead of making it something that you do in your spare time, you are making it a priority that is as important to you as your business.

Make your lunch hour a priority. Scheduling yourself a lunch hour to either prepare a healthy lunch or select something healthy to eat will set a precedent that you are making your relationship with food important. It will also help you to relax throughout the day. Avoid working, answering emails or taking phone calls. Instead take the time to decompress and reflect. You just might find that your productivity and creativity increase.

Set a bedtime. With the ability to be connected 24/7, it can be tempting to always be on when you run your own business. But not getting enough sleep or having constantly interrupted sleep can affect your ability to think clearly and be productive. Sleep is important time for your body to shut down and restore. Give yourself the time you need each night, and you will wake up more refreshed and ready to take on the world.

This year make changes that change your attitude towards your health. Approach your healthy living goals as you would a work project, and use that entrepreneurial focus to meet your goals!

Have an OUTSTANDING day!
