Having been in Network Marketing for 7 years, I have met some brilliant and inspiring business people who have become my role models. I have experienced exciting breakthroughs in my own business because of modeling the wisdom received from these people. The next 4 weeks will be about Role Models and their wisdom.
Share with us who your Role Models are, the wisdom you have received that has helped you make breakthroughs to be an even better person. Or how do you feel being a Role Model?
To start, what is a Role Model? Role Models are those who possess the qualities that we would like to have and those who have affected us in a way that makes us want to be better people.
From their example they help us create strategies, draw a map for our journey and navigate the road ahead because of the example they have set. They inspire one to achieve possibilities that might have seemed impossible. They help with theory and innovation that you might not have seen on your own. Some say a role model provides the insider secrets of success since they have already achieved the success that you are seeking.
The first role model that had a profound effect for me is Tony Robbins. I became familiar with Tony Robbins when I was asked to be a Coach on his staff. My intention was to immerse myself in learning his values, techniques and tools to use to further help Coaching clients achieve the change they sought in their lives. Many of these clients being Network Marketers.
What I discovered on my journey, is Tony Robbins is a person who is dedicated, a human being, caring, focused, very energetic, intelligent and passionate about his vision for contributing to the health of the world. The qualities I observed were those that I wanted to personify in life and in working in my Network Marketing company and with my team.

Staying with the point here, it is his wisdom on Role Models and Modeling that I found very helpful. He says:”We all have world views, models that shape our perceptions of our environment. …we form an image of the world and what is possible. What we need to do in modeling is to find out the specific beliefs that cause them (Role Model) to represent the world in a way that allows them to take effective action. ….We need to find out exactly how they represent to themselves their experience of the world. What do they do visually in their minds? What do they feel? If we produce the same exact messages in our bodies, we can produce similar results.”
Here are the 4 steps to Identifying a Powerful Role Model
1 Know your goals.
2 Create your intention for choosing a Role Model.
3 Make a list of the characteristics you would like to have in someone to model.
4 Keep your eyes open for that person to show up in your life.
Follow these simple steps that will help you model the way to your fulfillment and success!
Who would qualify to be a Role Model for you now? They may be from Network Marketing or the direct selling business. It may just be your upline!
