“Motive does matter.” – Tony Robbins

Finding your WHY in business is something that every MLM business talks about.
You can sit through hours and hours of talks, classes or seminars that tell you to create
your “I Story”. But when your WHY is not strong enough – not deep enough – not big enough, maybe you really haven’t FOUND IT yet?

Do you keep desiring the DESIRE that you see others with…? Do you feel that others have a fire raging deep within and you are still looking for the kindling?

First things first – be aware that naming your why, doesn’t make it so. Telling yourself
100 reasons why you should do the business, doesn’t make it happen. Reading any number of motivational tips, can still leave you unmotivated and stuck.

Think of these three simple scenarios and how they make you feel:

Now which one would you choose? This does not mean it is the best or easiest… it just means that’s the one you choose. And that’s ok.

Building desire and developing a strong enough WHY to get you through the toughest of days can be difficult for some people and very easy for others. Don’t despair! If your WHY has popped in your mind and stuck it out, good for you. If you are still struggling with this concept – You WILL find it, if you allow it to come to you. Give yourself some time to think about it, why do you really want to do this business? What would be worth waking up early for? Or going to bed later? Why would you be willing skip your favorite TV show? or turn down a dinner with friends? Because…. (you fill in the blank).

And comparing other peoples whys is not allowed.

I don’t care if your WHY is to make an extra $50 for a personal class you would like to take, a new shirt or just to go to the movies and someone else’s is to make $1,000 for a summer program for their ten kids.  I don’t care if your why is to make enough money to retire yourself or your family OR to provide full time pet daycare for your beloved furry friend (it really does look fun doesn’t it) .

THEY ALL HOLD THE SAME POWER BEHIND THEM.

Sometimes a why can be powered with dollar signs, sometimes they can’t. Maybe your why is about spending more time with the people and furry friends that you love or taking them on special outings. Sometimes a why can be connected to family or friends and sometimes it is mainly personal. That does not make you selfish. Sometimes it is about a deep feeling of success and sometimes it is just about trying something new and being proud of yourself.

No matter what your why turns out to be, let it be YOUR why – don’t compare and let yourself review and change it when needed. Don’t be married to your WHY statements that you made ten years ago, if they no longer represent the real reason why you are still doing your business.

And sometimes the strongest why you can have is – BECAUSE I WANT TO!

Review your WHY statement. Share it. Read it every day. Feel the juice!!!

Have an outstanding day!!

Much success,

Sara
