The Slight Edge In Your Network Marketing Business Will Help You Win Big!

Sometimes building a network marketing business can be overwhelming. Well any business for that matter! Why is this? It is generally because there is always too much to do and only one you. Wouldn’t it be great to have another you with your exact skill and expertise? Well until then, we have to work smart in order to get things done on a consistent basis.

So let’s look at the elements of building a business.

7 Elements in Building your Business:

1. Prospecting
2. Sales
3. Follow up and closing
4. Customer service / technical support
5. Relationship building / rapport
6. Referrals
7. Administrative Support / Paperwork

You may be sitting there thinking, there is no way I can do all that stuff in my own business. I understand, as I, too, am a business owner.

So how do you do it all? The best piece of advice I can give is to chunk down your work into bite-sized pieces so you don’t have to swallow more than you could possible chew.

So instead of feeling like you have to call your WHOLE list, call 5 people on it today. Set a # of sales calls you will do each day and how many follow ups. Over time you’ll understand your ratios of what actions it takes, i.e. how many new contacts, presentations, # of calls, for someone to sign up to do business with you.

Once you have your ratios you can set goals based on concrete information. So if you know it takes 5 calls to get a sale from a new prospect – you must a)  have 5 new names to call and set up those 5 calls/appointments. Then in doing so you can average out what each sale nets you in $xxx.xx (in income). From here you can set weekly, monthly and annual income goals based off of the bite-sized numbers.

The other advantage to building business this way is it helps you stay more consistent. In the book The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson, he talks about doing the simple little things daily vs. the huge things once a month.

It the consistency that will help you win and win big in business!
