Let’s take a few minutes to celebrate some of the things you have done in your business. As a general rule, I don’t believe we celebrate enough.
Let’s celebrate together. Please take 2-3 minutes and jot down on a piece of paper the things you have done this week. It is Thursday, you have had 4 days to do something in your business/life.
You may be thinking, “Ugh, it is Thursday and I haven’t done anything in my business/life worth celebrating”. Let’s reframe that.
- You have woken up and had a new lease on life for 4 consecutive days.
- You are reading this blog (I think that is worthy of celebrating).
- You have a business. Not everyone can say that.
- Now if you have mentioned your business, shared your business or signed up new representatives or customers, you have something to celebrate.
- Perhaps former customers placed orders on their own or their autoships ran.
All of this is what makes the business for time and financial freedom work. Celebrate early and celebrate often. There is always something to celebrate.
Something you might consider when it comes to celebrating your own success, is rewarding yourself for meeting your goals in periodic time frames. For me, this always give me something to work for.
Now let’s talk about celebrating those you work with.
Do you recognize new customers and new representatives to a Facebook Group (customers and rep groups)? I always make sure to ask them if that is OK upon enrolling them. If they say yes, I ask them for their favorite picture and do it as soon as possible. The reason this quick, easy and simple celebration works for others is they love to be a part of something.
In talking to your team, ask them what they have done this week you can celebrate with them. This let’s them have permission to toot their own horn. You are asking them to share.
When they do, make a huge deal over even the simple things. If they have taken time to share, even what seems like a small victory, make a huge deal of it to them and if appropriate, tell your other teammates. This is where Facebook groups are key.
Send cards of congratulations and emails telling them how proud you are of them. Celebration does not have to cost money. You don’t have to buy lavish gifts. In fact, your praise and recognition is almost always what others truly seek to do, have and be more.
Thank you for taking a moment to celebrate with me today. I have one final tip. Calendar an appointment with yourself to celebrate at least once a week.
Did this blog help you? If so, it would mean a lot to me if you would share it with others!!! And, share your comments below!
Much Success!
Have an outstanding day!!
