The 2017 holidays are upon us. We are days from Hanukkah. Christmas and New Year’s will be here before we know it.

Most network marketers pull back and put their business on hold during this time of the year. When the new year is here, they are ramping up again. The key to a successful business is to be in motion no matter what the season or holiday is.
More network marketing companies run specials around the holidays. If you have a large organization you want them to all be active and plugged in during those specials. This increases volume, gets the team excited and this is when promotions happen. Or you can take time off and feel badly that you didn’t take advantage of the opportunity right in front of you.
But how do you build a network marketing business around the holidays while maintaining family and life balance?
Here are seven simple keys:
  1. Make sure you have your order placed for the month(s) of November and December
  2. Check in with your team – not to get them to do anything in particular but to let them know you are thankful for them
  3. Ask your friends and family who they know in areas that are having meetings. This way they don’t feel like they have to go but they know you are still expanding your business and taking it seriously.
  4. If you have a guest going to a meeting in another area, make sure you let those local leaders know and arrange for them to meet so your guest feels properly welcomed.
  5. Follow up – one of the biggest leaders in network marketing, that I know, joined on Thanksgiving Day.
  6. Let your team know when you are and are not working so they know when to do three-way calls. If it OK for them to call you on the holiday, make sure you let them know that too.
  7. Have fun. The holiday season is a great time of year to meet new people. Ask questions, learn who they are and listen to what they say. When time is right, you can follow up and ask them to take a look at what you have.
Enjoy your holidays. You may have the highest sales volume of the year this season or the lowest, the key is to keep momentum going no matter where  you are at.
Do business every day.
