Cubes - 379 - INFLUENCE

Influence or persuasion is taking a relationship to a deeper level. This includes rapport and trust. Yes trust yourself at a deep level. Know confidently that your choices have been the best for you. It is giving more, doing more, creating more, being the highest aspect of yourself.  From this point you will have created a quality of life that is fulfilling.

When I was preparing to leave my corporate job, it took me a year and a half. I knew I gave 110% of myself to my job. I was nervous and questioned would I do the same on my own? I was concerned that I did not have enough influence over me to make the right choices at the right time. Or to make the hard choices when it was needed.

What I learned made a very significant difference in how I moved myself into my new position of ownership. I did possess the power of persuasion on me when it came to being an entrepreneur on my own.

I learned the difference between being influenced through pleasure vs pain. I was a pain person motivated by fear. Through work, I have over the years changed this to being motivated by pleasure.  Finding my passion in moving toward what I have as a vision and goal as the primary focus.

What motivates you? Do you respond more to getting work done because if you don’t you will lose or sacrifice something? Do you respond more to getting work done because you can see the benefits and outcomes from your actions?  Can you be motivated by the joy you will experience from a job well done?

In the next 7 days, notice what actions you commit to taking and what moves you to take action when it is required.  Let me know what you have learned about yourself and how you take action.

When you find yourself in a work position that you don’t feel fits you any longer, the excitement, or passion you once had is gone, ask yourself what is keeping you there? What is motivating you to stay? What is keeping you from seeing the quality of your life as better then it is in that moment?

Whether you are in a position of administration or sales you will always be in a situation that requires influence. It may be persuading someone to accept an idea that you put forth or it may be a product that would make the difference in the productivity and success of your customer’s company by buying your product.  You will need to be able to influence yourself to take strong, empowered action so that you will be able to successfully influence the success in your work.

It is said that 90% of success is psychology.

Always be working toward an empowering psychological state.
