no excuses phrase handwritten on blackboard

It is November. You may think, yes that is true but this is no November like ever before – it is no excuses November! Let’s look at your personal development profile. You may be wondering what profile I am talking about. A personal development profile is the accumulation of all of the things you to grow and expand your knowledge, belief and positioning. Let’s say last week you set your daily action of the things you are going to do EVERY day to make you stronger in the areas you want/need to grow. How is this daily list going? Are you accomplishing it every day? Why or why not? I had a friend suggest keeping a personal development log. This can look as easy as writing it on your calendar each time you do a personal development activity. This way you can see the gaps of what you are or are not doing at a glance.

Calendaring things is a great way to get a visual of what you are accomplishing. If you are like me, you may want to go a little more in detail and actually get a notebook and create a chart or a diary of the things you did. For example, I have a conference call book. Every time I dial in on a conference call, I take notes in that one notebook. This book is now worth thousands and thousands of dollars.

Keith Cunningham is a seasoned entrepreneur, business owner, international speaker and business skills specialist. Keith has a 24 Blueprint Strategy for successful business. His #5 strategy says:

“What gets measured is what gets managed. What gets measured and reported improves exponentially.”

There are many uncontrollable things in life that may be directing your life here and there from moment to moment. What I want you to focus on is the things you CAN get done. You can read for 10-15 minutes a day, you can dial into scheduled conference calls, you can go to seminars, you can journal, you can dream build. OR you can not.

As Jeff Olson says in his book, The Slight Edge, the things you can control and do daily are “easy to do and easy not to do” The people who succeed at doing those things over and over daily are the people who see results.

So in THIS no excuses November, what are you going to do to master your personal development so you can be, do and have the things you want.

Much Success! Have an outstanding day!
