Exercise
It is probably not shocking to you that moving your body daily in some say is a good thing. Afterall, there are exercise shows, videos, workout centers, fitness stores, and an entire internet of health related gizmos and gadgets to make exercise easier.  Being healthy is a key to an outstanding quality of life.

Budget
Making a budget is never fun, but obtaining your financial goals and dreams is. Having money for what you want is key to happiness.

Calling those or connecting with those in your sphere will strengthen relationships and grow your business.

So why don’t people do it?

It is my belief that people procrastinate because it is usually key work that required some discomfort. You see, the things in life that are comfortable for us to do, we do. It is the things that stretch and grow us or that make us look at the reality of how something is that are uncomfortable and we avoid.

Let’s look at 3 Ways To Combat Procrastination.

  1. Outline those things you are supposed to be doing but aren’t.
  2. Ask or pay for accountability to make a change.
  3. Build a new habit.

Outline The Things You Aren’t Doing.
As with so many things in life, awareness is key.
What things are you procrastinating? Write them down. I might also suggest you write down what you will gain when you do it and what it is costing you to not do it. Perspective does a lot for motivating you to act.

Accountability is a word some people run from. In this case though, if you have identified why you need to do that thing that you are avoiding, then putting a system in place for you to not avoid it is key. I know for me, the things I avoid can go on and on, unless I ask for help. If you don’t have someone that will be a good accountability partner for when you do what you are supposed to do and when you are not taking action, hire someone. This is where a good coaching relationship can come in.

In the end, you are seeking to create a new positive habit.  Accountability done long enough with have positive results will always develop a newly formed habit.
