stepsHere are 10 simple steps you can begin to take each day and each week to move you forward in life and business.

1. Take action – that’s right. Each night, plan out what your action steps are going to be before you begin the next day. The simple act of writing things down raises the odds tremendously on getting it done! Decide what you will take action on and then JUST DO IT!

2. Show up – in everything that you do, make sure you are fully engaged and in the game. Play full out when you are in the game of life, business, relationships and so on. You will see it make a huge difference in your life.

3. Get engaged – where can you step up to make things really count? Look around and do an inventory of what’s what in your life. So how you can engage more and make the most out of your commitments.

4. Start anywhere – but DO start somewhere. Do you have projects you are working on but don’t seem to get much done with them? Sometimes, we just have a hard time STARTING. So, here is a clue – just start anywhere. Somewhere is better than no where!

5. Keep busy – play full out and keep yourself busy in your business. Press it hard for the next 90 days, and then 90 days more beyond that. And, then, just keep going. Take time for fun, and stay busy there too!

6. Get out more – businesses are built by getting in front of people. Make it a goal to make new contacts out and about by simply being “out and about!” Make new friends, new contacts and referrals. Be interested in others and they will be interested in you.

7. Ask for referrals – sometimes, we just become fearful of asking. And yet, when we are asked for help, we are most often ready and willing to give it. In this case, ask – who do you know? Let people know you are working on a business project and are in an expansion phase. See if they have 30 minutes to meet for coffee so you can share your idea.

8. Shake things up – that’s right, buck the status quo. Take a look at the areas of mediocrity you may be experiencing and put some new things on the plate to crank it up a notch or two! Again, you’ll be thrilled with your results.

9. Appreciate more – people love to be appreciated. Don’t you? And yet think how seldom we speak the words or let people know they are appreciated. Take a “Go-Give” approach and develop a practice to express your appreciation to at least one person each day.

10. Don’t quit – quitting is easy; it’s sticking it out that is the challenge and oh, so worth it. Whatever you do, never quit on a bad day. Take this approach and you’ll find that you just won’t quit. Who would quit on a good day, after all?

What can you think of to add as number 11?

Have an outstanding day!
