The Basloe Group, Vince Lombardi

Vince Lombardi said it best, “Winning is not a sometime thing; it’s an all time thing.”

You don’t win once in awhile, you don’t do things right once in awhile, you do them right all the time. Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing!

Win! Let’s dissect this a bit as I know some of you reading this are thinking, “No one can be a winner all the time.

Take note of the following things:

  1. What are 3 successes that you have experienced?
  2. Why did you consider them wins?

There are a few things, I’d encourage you to do to help your mind set up an environment of winning.

  1. Write or rewrite your rule defining winning. Make your rules supportive and powerful.
  2. Make it easy to win. Look for wins everyday.
  3. What has to happen for you to win?
  4. How can you make it easier to win?
  5. How can you intentionally win?
  6. How do you celebrate wins?

This are deep and meaningful questions. Winning is a mindset and a perspective.  Still can’t wrap your brain around winning as a mindset?

Think of the most successful people you know. Not people you know of, but people you know. If you called them, they would know who you are.

  1. List out the traits that make them have a winning mindset.
  2. Evaluate what they have that you do not.
  3. Is this something you can learn, obtain, be?
  4. Consider asking them to mentor you.

Do something every day that will set yourself up for a win, recognize and celebrate it. This in turn trains your brain for success – a winning mindset. You don’t have to conquer the world every day but you should win daily.

Did this blog help you? If so, it would mean a lot to me if you would share it with others!!! And, share your comments below!
