I have been working with many different groups lately and meeting all kinds of new people. One thing that I have found that most, not all but most people have in common is that we are all afraid of looking badly in front of potential customers…Many Many Many had the chance to follow up with me after telling me they would call me and I have not heard from them yet. Now, I could place a bet on how many of those I will ever hear from… Zero.

Now, I am not the perfect business person either, and seeing this in others is beginning to loosen the bondage these chains of call back fear have on me. Why? Well think of it, if it had been TOO LONG? But the person calling was polite and sincere, would you still want to connect with the person? Probably. Would you curse them and hang up on them? No! Would you find them at their business and put dog poop on their shoes?? NO! (but yikes right! that would be a pretty good answer to the question: What is the worst that could happen? LOL:)

See, even the “worst that could happen” is so terribly unlikely! So, why are we so worried about it happening to us?

So, do you have a list or a drawer full of contacts? Maybe it’s time to go through them again and make some “Hi do you remember me” calls – don’t sell – don’t ask them to book – don’t ask them to party – don’t ask them to host- don’t ask them anything besides how are you, and would it be alright if I call you again so we can talk about (list business needs here). And I am gonna bet, you just might get a yes!

Think of the momentum that calling 1, 5 or even 10 of those long lost connections today, this week or this month – could create for the coming weeks and months. Ready, Set, Call. Does this hold you back? Comment below.

Have an outstanding day!

Much success,

Sara
